With the aim to get close to their clients in France, Société Générale, as one of the leading banks in the country, offers them award-wining online and mobile banking products, to ensure that they get the best services at ease, in whatever location and at anytime.

To use internet banking from Societe Generale seamlessly, the customer should have in IE 7 and higher, Firefox 3,6 and higher, Chrome 15 and higher versions of browsers.

The main options available in the bank’s website are as follows:

MY STATEMENTS: Check the status of the accounts; follow the expenses and income over the past 30 days.

EXPENDITURE AND REVENUE: Automatic categorization of the expenses (housing, vacation, transportation, banking, etc.); it is possible to edit and tag each operation.

MY REPORTS: Graphics of the expenses and income and their progress over time; custom reports for more detailed analysis.

MY TAGS: Sign the same types of expenditures; for example, a vacation lodging cost tagging allows to track all expenses during the holiday.

MY THRESHOLDS: Control and alert for (optional) certain types of expenses.

HELP: Assistance in creating reports, thresholds and tags. Also, context sensitive help is provided for each section.

Mobile banking of Société Générale is protected by Pass Sécurité (Security Pass) programme. Activation of mobile banking service requires the latest version of Société Générale application, which is available on Apple Store and Google Play. The application can be installed on iPhone, iPad, Windows and Android smartphones and tablets.

After it is successfully installed, the programme offers to activate the security pass. To complete the activation, it is necessary to have a valid mobile phone number and internet connection (Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G or Edge).
1. Choose a name for the smartphone or tablet (for example, iPhone de Jaque Dupont);
2. Click the button Recevoir le Code Sécurité (“Get the security code”);
3. Copy and paste the code from the SMS and click “Activate”.

If the security pass has not been activated immediately after the Société Générale application installation, it is possible to activate (or deactivate) it at any moment: go to Services > Security Pass > Activate (or Deactivate).

To verify (or deny) a payment, launch the application Société Générale, click “Accept” on the notification, enter the secret code and confirm the operation (or click or “Reject”).

In most cases, notifications about transactions are received in a few seconds. Otherwise, reissue the verification request on the Client Area or on the website where the purchase has been made. Remember that entering the Client Area always requires PIN. In case of changing the phone install the latest version of the Société Générale on the new phone and activate the security pass. If the number is changed too, it needs to be validated before the security pass activation.

If the smartphone is lost or stolen, immediately turn off the security pass, using one of these ways:
1. Log in to Client Area > My Profile > Security options > Security Pass > Deactivate.
2. Call 3933.
3. Apply for deactivation directly at one of the bank’s branches.

Société Générale application features Paylib. To have it ready for online payments without entering the data of the credit card, activate it from section Payments: enter a password and connect the credit card with Paylib. To pay for a purchase, log in to Paylib and confirm the transfer. The application Société Générale displays Paylib transactions in the list of other expenses.

Société Générale France also supports transfers by SMS: indicate the amount of the transfer and choose the recipient from the address book. The recipient gets an SMS with a link to a secure mobile site where he gets the RIB / IBAN / BIC. Verify the transfer from the notification.

That is precisely what Credit Agricole Mobile offers. The mobile wireless mini regular statements provide details of all recent transactions. The SMS alert notifies immediately as and when the
account is accessed or transaction has taken place. ln addition to this. all kinds of digital transactions can be made using the varied mobile apps. Using the iPhone and the mobile app one can visit the site ca-mobile.com, access an account and transfer funds or carry out similar tasks. The greatest advantage is the emergency service provider using which the clients can bring it to the notice of the bank if the account book is lost or stolen.

The application My Bank enables the clients to see the whole of their bank account right from the earliest entry to the latest, and more interestingly, it helps keep a watch on their budgets.
It also guides the clients to the nearest branches and counters by showing directions through maps.

Credit du Nord Bank has over the years managed to obtain market leadership status when it comes to its online banking services in the country.
The company is indeed considered a pioneer in the country with respect to the integration of online banking services. The many years of experience have seen Credit du Nord streamline its online banking process to enhance the clients’ experience with the system.

Online banking is an important service with respect to the operations of Credit du Nord Bank since it has served to increase the number of clients that the bank can serve. One of the main impacts of online banking within Credit du Nord Bank is the elimination of the need for physical visits by clients in order to carry out banking transactions. This implies that the number of customers that the bank can serve at any one instance is not limited by the size of its branches.

The ability to transact on a 24/7 basis is indeed one of the key advantages of Credit du Nord’s online banking service. Clients can go to the bank’s online portal and carry out various forms of banking transactions at any time of the day and on any day of the week. This serves to enhance the overall convenience of the clients since they can deposit, withdraw or even obtain their bank statements whenever they need to do so. Moreover clients can carry out the aforementioned transactions at the comfort of their homes, hotel rooms or any place they may be.

The online banking services enable customers to manage their accounts securely anytime, wherever they happen to be.

The following services are available to Credit du Nord customers 24/7:
– Checking of accounts and seeing details of all transactions over the past 45 days.
– Downloading online statements rather than paper copies.
– Making occasional internal and external transfers and setting up standing orders free of charge, register beneficiary accounts online.
– Drawing on or making repayments to Etoile Avance loan and checking on personal
and home loans.
– Ordering cheque books or a banking card.
– Allocating investments and/or making top-up deposits on insurance contracts.
– Setting text message or e-mail account alerts.
– Monitoring stock exchange movements via bank`s special mutual funds web site and on
financial information web site developed in partnership with Boursorama.
– Placing orders to buy/sell French-listed securities in real time and at highly competitive rates.
– Planning future projects using our online simulators

In addition customers subscription to the Credit du Nord online banking service include free monthly alerts where 6 are on standard transactions and 10 on stock market alerts.

The online services also include mobile online banking, that enables customers to access their accounts anytime and check their balances and transactions over the past 45 days. Besides, customers can use their mobile application to locate a branch or an ATM and have fast access to key telephone numbers such as account officer number.

Another advantage associated with online banking service is that online bankers can carry out transfers from their n computer. Online transfers to a bank within the European Union are free of charge. A fixed fee and foreign exchange commission is charged to one`s account for transfers outside the euro zone.

For anyone who is interested in opening an account with the bank, simply make an appointment with a client advisor in the branch which is the most convenient for you and carry with you the following documents to open an account:

The bank offers a variety of bank accounts, including Personal, Current, Business, Savings and Partner accounts for clients in France and all over the globe.

Personal accounts: A personal account is accompanied by cheque books and a debit card of the clients’ choice. A debit card has limits and restrictions to its’ operation as chosen by the client. Credit cards are prepared to be give to those who meet requirements during the account opening process.

Business accounts: Business account are accompanied by several sets of cheque books as required by the client applying for the bank account, and as many debit cards as necessary by the client opening the bank account. Business accounts are different, hence it is important to seek a client adviser at the bank branch for guidance.

Opening a bank account with Banque Palatine is very easy and quick. The client must provide a few details to the bank:
– Firstly the client must provide a valid passport. The passport aids in identification and provides basic information about the client such as his/her name, year of birth among other details that bank may need to know about the client. If someone is not a native of France he/she should provide a long stay visa, this aids in identification of the client.
– The client is also required to provide a proof of address, this is obtained from gas, electricity or landline bills.
– After these simple requirements, the Banque Palatine Bank will require a copy of the client’s signature. This signature helps in the confirmation of the authenticity of any cheque/cheques to be processed.

After these requirements are met, Banque Palatine Bank will provide the customer with copies of his/her account information. This information is mainly useful when the client wants to transfer his/her salary to his/her account or when the customer wants to switch any direct debits he/she may have in place (for example rent and phone bills.) The client can then start using his/her current account and request from Banque Palatine a bank card and a cheque book.

After a successful account opening, the client/clients are offered with a bank card which contains the bank account number. Minimum charges may apply for the card and also when the client withdraws cash from cash machines. The bank card enables the client to withdraw cash from cash machines commonly known as (ATMs) or even pay for purchases made at supermarkets, gas stations or any other outlet that accepts payments using bank cards.

France celebrates “Victory in Europe Day,” which is a special European holiday that symbolizes the Nazis’ surrender to the allied forces during World War II. This ultimately led to the end of the war and a victory for the allied forces, which was comprised of all the nations that opposed the Nazis. So as you can imagine, this is a very celebrated holiday amongst Europeans such as the French. They also celebrate the end of World War I on November 11th, which is called Armistice Day.

France has their own religious holidays that are similar to other nations’ holidays. France has Ascension Day, Whit Monday, St. Stephen’s Day, and All Saints Day. Ascension Day is commonly known as Holy Thursday, which represents the day that Jesus Christ rose to heaven 39 days after Easter Sunday. As for Whit Monday, this celebrates when the Holy Ghost came down to visit the disciples of Jesus Christ in accordance to the Holy Bible’s New Testament. Since France has a large Christian population, these holidays are especially important to them. All Saints’ Day is a Catholic holiday that simply celebrates all the saints of the Catholic Church, which is referred to as a feasting day. Then finally, St. Stephen’s Day takes place a day after Christmas. This holiday honors the first Christian martyr, Saint Stephen.

The true original and nonreligious holiday of France is Bastille Day, which takes place on July 14th. This is the French version of America’s Independence Day. Bastille Day is a celebration of the French Revolution, which was a war that took place in France between 1789 and 1799. It was a war fought between the French peasants and aristocrats who formerly ran the country. After the fall of the aristocrats, France eventually became a country of nationalism and democracy. So as you can imagine, this is the country’s most honorable and celebrated holiday of the year.

In addition, all of the options to meet your financial needs are presented online so that you can organize your finances in the manner you desire.
While Crédit Mutuel is known for their sterling services, low fees and excellent customer service, there are two areas where they excel in providing members with the best options for their needs, mortgage options and online banking.

Mortgage Options

Crédit Mutuel is dedicated to offering its members the most flexible mortgage options to meet their needs. There are essentially three types of mortgages available for the purchase of private or commercial properties:

– Conventional Charge
– Priority Lien Charge
– Institutional Guarantee

While most international members might be familiar with the structure of conventional mortgages, the institutional guarantee is used quite often in France because the combination of legal fees and the arrangement that is made offers lower rates than most mortgages.

Conventional mortgages offer a short term payment system with a “notaire” charging a small percentage to create the loan structure. The priority lien type actually goes back centuries and generally offers lower interest rates than conventional mortgages. However, there is no “equity withdrawal with this type of arrangement. The institutional guarantee is only available to residents of France, but it does offer very low rates for those with good credit scores.

Crédit Mutuel Online Banking

Crédit Mutuel understands the benefits of not having to call or stop by the bank to conduct your business. That is why they have set up extensive online banking services to meet your needs and exceed your expectations. You can check on all of your accounts, transfer money where needed, and find out all the information about your current status with the bank.

You can use your computer, smartphone or mobile device to check your accounts and transfer money when needed. In addition, you can subscribe to various products and services that are offered, go over insurance estimates and choose one if you desire and even create simulations for your savings and loan to see where you’ll be down the road. Crédit Mutuel online banking services means that you can check your accounts from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.

For those who want to have the best in banking services in France and abroad, the bank offers their members all the advantages of traditional banks while working towards the needs of those they serve. Unlike commercial banks that are beholden to their owners, Crédit Mutuel works for its members when it comes to providing the banking services that are needed.
